Breathe Right Nose Strips
I have been on supplemental Oxygen 24/7 for the past few years.
While there is a reason for this and it helps me lead a somewhat passable existence, there are some draw backs. One is that with a constant flow of air through the nose it tends to make the sinuses close down and the most un-opportune times. Say Sleeping.
A couple years ago I decided to try the product called "Breathe Right" nose strips. These have been an answer to a major problem for me.

If you have seen the advertisements for them, then you know it is a small strip that has adhesive on one side that you place across the nose. these strips have the properties of wanting to stay straight when applied and therefore they pull up on the sides of the nose. This opens the nostrils so you can get a good airflow.
If you have not seen them, this is what one looks like. (not the original size). Once I started using these I found that I was actually able to sleep much better as I was getting more of an oxygen flow to the lungs. But I have come to realize that there is more, much more to these little marvels.
They can be used as visual aids when you are out in public to announce the mood that you may be in. The side panels are perfect spots to affix smilie faces.
You could even make custom labels with an permanent marker...such as a drawing of a single extended digit when you just don't want to be bothered.
And Guys? Think of this. Every mans dream. Draw a pair of Boobies, one on each side...and then no matter what time of day, nor where you might be...you can have a little session of "Playing Motorboat"
But wait a minute...theres MORE !
You could sell your nose as advertising space to local companies. Hey? Little company logos just like the NASCAR boys do it.
