5 days later

It all started when a few days ago on a bright and warm day I made one of my first trips out to visit a brother that is in a Medical Care facility for a few days.

Now in the past, and about this same time of year this meant putting the portable O2 on and doing the thing. I would get a bit winded, but when I stopped to rest my system would recover.
Not this day however. Took a few steps to the car and when I sat down my Pulse had shot up to the 120's low 130's. Pulse-Ox did the opposite. I t dropped to the mid to low 70's. Now when this happens I MUST stop, be motionless, and let this old body catch up. It did and we continued to our destination. There we walked into the building and the same thing started to happen. Well to make a long story short, I did get the visit ok and got home.

The next couple days around the house I was faced with the same problem. Take a few steps and Pulse up / Pulse Ox down. Such is life as a person with Emphysema.

The past couple day have been better. I don't take quite the same hit on my abilities, and I seem to be "snapping back" better, but its still going to be a long process to getting back to what I have known to be my "Unconventional life".

But it will happen.
